2000 Mercury Optimax 225 XXL OP boat motor, 225 HP V6 Direct Fuel injection & only 280 hours. Comes w/ gauges, controls, large external oil tank, power trim & wiring. This engine appears to have a very recent lower assembly as the factory sticker is still on it & looks new. This engine was used very little as you can see by the hours. It was always well maintained & is very clean as you can see from the pictures below. This is a SALT WATER MOTOR but has always been run in fresh water. It does not come w/ a prop.
I was told that this motor was replaced with a new engine w/ money from a Federal grant and it was in proper working order when exchanged. I got it direct from the state. It was drained & fogged & then put in the metal shipping container that the new one came in. As you can see in the pics it is clean & has been well maintained. Sold as-is.
